The whole thought behind this shot is to take while getting ready and send it to the groom.  I think no matter what you did with it, its a great wedding shot to have.  Some might consider it risque, but I feel the anonymity of the shot makes it sweet and simple.

I love this idea.  Tulle over linens.  The look is so romantic.  I believe the best part about this is tulle is extremely inexpensive usually running around $1 a yard you could do around 15 tables for probably $300.

This would work perfectly if you didn't want to spend extra money on custom linens but wanted a little more of a custom look.  Tulle can be difficult to work with as its very flimsy and hard to cut but the end result is so beautiful it would be worth it.

p.s. Does anyone else notice the tent liner?  How much more beautiful does this look without steel beams ruining the pictures!  Always a great investment if your using a tent for your wedding.

I love these options for a rehearsal dinner dress.  You can either opt for something more traditional bride like dress #1 or go for something a little more daring such as dress #4.  I personally love dress #2.  The great thing about all of these dresses is they could easily be packed in your honeymoon suitcase and would work perfectly for a nice dinner out or drinks at sunset.

What did you wear for your rehearsal dinner?  Was it a dress you already had that you loved?  Or did you buy something new?  As much as I love the bride always being in white for wedding events I think I would go for something fun and comfortable.

I think there are a number of great ways to remember all of the guests who attended your wedding whether that be a traditional guest book or something completely different like a thumb print with everyone writing their name.  What is important is that you have something to remember all of your guests by because with the day flying by as fast as it does you'll want something to look back on.

These are some of my favorites that I have found.

I absolutely love this idea!  How cute to have all of your guests take snapshots of each other then write a little note for you.  Beware Polaroid film is expensive, so when planning make sure to budget for this it might seem like a simple cheap project but can be pricey.

This is a great idea if you want to include pictures, or if you have a ton of engagement pictures that you love and want to show off.  Snapfish is a great place to create one of these books.  Simply leave somewhere at your reception and have everyone sign.

Lastly, I love this idea where each guest gets a piece of paper and their own envelope to put their note card in.  How fun would it be to go through the book year after year.

One thing to remember it is better to put a guest book out at your reception rather than at the ceremony when guests are arriving.  By doing this it gives everyone time to write something and have fun with it, instead of being rushed.  Plus it gives everyone something to do during cocktail hour or in-between dinner and dancing.

When thinking about weddings I always like to go back to the guests.  I think the key to any great event is having happy guests.  You spend months upon months planning and executing all the details to then forget that the whole point of having a wedding is to share with your family and friends the love you feel as a couple.

So back to my point, treat your guests well.  Make sure they know how happy you are to have them there and always remember that a good amount of them probably spent some money to be there on your special day.  Having a family and a good amount of friends that live mostly out of state I always think about the traveling that we endure to see each other and how nice it would be to have a welcome basket upon arrival.

I love these options.  I think the most important things to include in a wedding welcome basket are:

·         Wedding Itinerary (This is the easiest way to avoid confusion with timing and where people need to be at certain times.)

·         Guide book or suggestions from the Bride & Groom on their favorite places to eat, see, and play

·         Water bottles

·         Bottle of wine or champagne (Trader Joes is a great place to get this)

·         Souvenir from the wedding location (Examples could be for a Virginia wedding, a Virginia is for Lovers bumper sticker.  A Charleston wedding you could place all of your items in the famous Charleston weaved baskets.  Or an item that is from a local store in the area such as cupcakes from the nearby bakery, or some nuts and dried fruit to satisfy a hungry traveler.)

·         Welcome note from the Bride & Groom

All of these small touches will not only make your guests feel welcome but also help them get into the wedding spirit and ease the stress of traveling.  Many people will do these for the all guests, just guests traveling from out of town, or simply their bridal party.  It’s a nice touch no matter what you do and is a great way to add some personalized options as well as get creative with your theme.

Its that time of the year week again!  Wedding Wednesday is back in action.  This week will take a look at bridal accessories, the final step to taking a girl in a white dress to a bride.  The transformation is always such a cool thing to watch happen.

I have been to my fair share of weddings and have accessorized a number of brides, you can always see their faces change as things are added and taken away until the perfect combination occurs, its a little bit of magic.

So lets take a look at some accessories I think all brides should consider when planning for the big day.

Classic, timeless, the perfect accessory for any bride. 

Short, long, blusher, birdcage, no matter your preference there is something for everyone. 

I feel no matter how much time passes, women around the world will always look to these shoes as the ultimate wedding accessory.

In case your not feeling a veil, something to give your updo that something extra.

Something sweet and pretty for underneath it all.

 A beautiful garter to make you feel pretty all over.

Classics, can't go wrong with either.

Another little bling for your hair. (You know I had to post it because its a redheaded mannequin, how often do you see those?)

Throughout the blogospehere there is a theme going on, its a day every week that everyone is happily referring to as, Wedding Wednesday.  I love the idea of posting about weddings every Wednesday, not only to offer you some beautiful pictures but also give some inspiration to brides-to-be and wedding lovers.

For as long as I can remember I have loved the wedding industry.  I have worked in a bridal boutique, read countless bridal magazines, my wedding board on Pinterest has the most pins and all in all weddings put a smile on my face.

This post will also serve as a place to share my photography of all my clients, future clients?!?  As well as give them inspiration for their own soirees.

None the less lets get to it.

The Dress...by far the most important aspect of the event.  It sets the theme, is the starting point, and by far the biggest decision that the bride will make.  I always cringed when brides would come in the store and already have a venue picked out.  Its really hard to wear a satin ball gown that you absolutely love on a ranch with cowboy boots in July.  They just don't mix.

Advice to anyone planning to get married, get the dress first then let everything else follow, because all in all if you feel beautiful on your day then everything else will fall into place.

This is from the Jim Heljm Spring 2012 Collection, I love the transition a lot of designers are making away from the strapless style that seems to have dominated wedding dresses for the past few years.

The next two dresses are from Jenny Packham, I recently discovered this designer and absolutely love her.  The detail and work that must go into each dress is beyond me and they look so beautiful, very Grecian.

Look a little familiar...this is the dress that was in 27 Dresses, that Jane's horrid sister, Tess cut up her mother's wedding dress and made into, except for she didn't and instead the masses get to enjoy this beauty. (This dress is actually no longer available but a similar look could always be created by a great tailor.)

Beautiful back, plus sleeves, I'm in love.  I am not sure what design house this is from, I found it here, but it looks a little like Monique Lhuillier.

I have always dreamed of a big beautiful wedding.  That being said I think it would be amazing to get married with just the two of you before your big day.

Weddings are crazy, stressful, and at most you don't have a lot of time to yourself, I feel a private ceremony gives you a chance to really appreciate each other and celebrate what you have together. I hope to do this one day and when I do, I plan on wearing this.  Its beautiful, simple, and the perfect dress to 'wow' him!  No lie I almost bought it once.

Layers and layers and layers, could there be anything more romantic?

Mimi.  This is a beautiful dress from Watters.  I always referred to it as The Traveling Dress. (Have you read The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants?  If not, its based around jeans that fit these four friends who are all different body shapes and sizes.)  Back to the dress, it looks good on everyone, and I mean everyone.  The neckline is one of the most beautiful necklines I have ever seen on a dress.  If your looking for something simple, elegant, and classy this is your girl!  Believe me, she'll look good on you!

And lastly, this is from the Reem Acra Fall 2012 Collection, the back is amazing, it looks as if crystals are literally glued to the skin.  Absolutely stunning!
